KINESITHERAPY

MORNING EXERCISES

Composed of easy exercises and is suitable for everyone. The purpose is to awaken the whole organism, gain a pleasant feeling and a good mood for the whole day. Duration of exercises is 15 min.

THERAPEUTIC EXERCISES

Accelerates healing and restores working capacity. Is individual or in small groups, if necessary. Different complexes of exercises are used, depending on the nature of the disease and on the general condition of the person (ailments of back and neck area, poor posture, post-traumatic conditions, cardiac and pulmonary patients). Choice of intensity is individual. Duration of exercises is 30 min.

STICK WALKING

Stick walking is much more effective than normal walking. Walking with sticks also trains shoulder, arm and chest muscles. Helps to relieve neck and shoulder pains. Suitable in case of joint diseases - due to four support points the leg joints are less burdened than during ordinary walking. Stick walking burns approximately 400 calories per hour (one hour of regular walking burns about 280 calories). Special walking sticks are used. The walking stick is stiff and light, with a wide Velcro adjustable hand strap and a rubber tip necessary for walking on asphalt. Stick walking is suitable for people at any age and in any health condition.

WATER AEROBICS

Water aerobics is invigorating and stimulating. In the water environment, the body is light and the joints without burden. It is suitable for everyone, both old and young. Ability to swim is not required. Water aerobics Includes exercises for all muscle groups, as well as simpler coordination, stretching and relaxation exercises. There are separate groups for the elderly and people with cardiac problems.
In the cardiac group the tempo of exercises is according to the abilities of participants.
Some swimming aerobics equipments are used, like noodles, water dumb-bells, water gloves and swimming boards. The water temperature is 28 -30ºC. Duration of training is 30 min.

BODY & MIND

Body & Mind is a training activity comprising movements and exercises accompanied by calm music. It incorporates elements of yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates. Stretching exercises and effective muscle exercises facilitate the development of strength, balance, flexibility and relaxation skills. Releasing tension from your body helps stress prevention. The modern world is so hectic that you need to give your body opportunities to relax. The Body & Mind session consists of 10 different pieces of music, during each of which the participants focus on a certain group of muscles and controlled breathing. Proper breathing enhances relaxation and has a favourable effect on the nervous system.
This training activity is suitable for all ages and also for pregnant women. The exercises are performed standing up, sitting and lying down. This activity may not be suitable for people who are have difficulty stretching in their hip and shoulder areas.
You will need comfortable training clothes and we also recommend that you bring a long-sleeved shirt for relaxation at the end of the training activity. We train barefoot. You will need footwear to walk between the locker room and the training hall.
The training lasts for 1 hour.

 
CHINESE RELAXATION GYMNASTICS

This training activity is based on Chinese folk medicine. The participants learn the skill of self-help and how to actively balance the body’s energy system and boost its spiritual side. The Chinese relaxation gymnastics comprise physical exercises, breathing exercises and elements of self-massage and meditation, making them feasible for people of all ages, from children to pensioners. The exercises are not physical in the conventional sense: you must use your imagination when performing them. The exercises are accompanied by calm meditation music, sitting on a chair or lying on a mat. Comfortable training clothes and socks are recommended.
The training lasts for 1 hour.


GROUP WORKOUTS IN THE FITNESS GYM

A diverse interval exercise that improves muscle endurance is performed by using varied equipment in the fitness room as well as assisting aids to the accompaniment of good music. You can adjust the load according to the level of your physical fitness.

COMPOSITION OF A PERSONAL EXERCISING PROGRAMME

A series of exercises, composed by a recovery treatment doctor or by a physiotherapist, helping to recover muscle and joint functionality. Our exercising plan is based on the European renowned programme PhysioTools.
